17th GeoRaman conference
We are pleased to announce the 17th GeoRaman conference
The first GeoRaman conference was organised in 1986 in Paris (France) by Prof. D. C. Smith. It was followed by Valladolid (Spain) in 1999, Prague (Czech Republic) in 2002, Hawaii (USA) in 2004, Almunecar (Spain) in 2006, Ghent (Belgium) in 2008, Sydney (Australia) in 2010, Nancy (France) in 2012, St. Louis (USA) in 2014, Novosibirsk (Russian Federation) in 2016, Catania (Italy) in 2018, Bilbao (Spain, online) in 2020, Prague (Czech Republic) in 2022, and Rhodes (Greece) in 2024. The 2026 GeoRaman is the 17th edition of this international biennial conference.
In the 40 years of its existence, the GeoRaman conference has brought together Ramanists from different disciplines from all over the world and created a vibrant, enthusiastic, and long-term-committed community that has made the biennial meeting a strong tradition. That traditional event has been held by the GeoRaman International Science Advisory Committee (GRISAC), which has kept the enthusiasm of the community growing and making this a traditional event for the discussion of the recent applications of Raman spectroscopy.
We look forward to your presence and participation at the GeoRaman 2026 conference!
On behalf of the organising committee,
Prof. Luiz F. C. de Oliveira
